Meet your Therapist
A bit about me
Julian Sachs, LICSW
I'm a therapist located in Minnesota and my background is in clinical social work. I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I have special interests in working with dissociative disorders, executive functioning challenges, ADHD, Autism, navigating big life changes, and anxiety. I am also open to working with many other diagnoses and circumstances, feel free to reach out to me and we can see if we are a good fit!
I am transgender (non-binary trans masculine), sex positive, leftist, and neurodivergent. I am a big believer in creative solutions and helping people figure out how to make their lives work for them, even though that may not match societal expectations. The system is flawed and often difficult to navigate so anything I can do to help you to make it easier get your needs met, I'm happy to look into.
I also provide mental health assessments with letters for gender confirming procedures. Often transgender and gender nonconforming folks are not looking for ongoing therapy, but feel compelled to enrolled to get the medical care they need. I believe that you are the expert of your own experience and I want to empower you to live in your truth, ease dysphoria, and improve your wellbeing. The work that I do is my passion, so you know I will strive to show up with my whole self to every session.
